The Marriage Question Answered In Eden

Emergency mode activated; some young man or woman somewhere is in a point of need, desperate need for affection to fill the void of loneliness in his or her heart. Should that need not be addressed at the moment they are going to drag to a coma and we fear that someone should die so we respond to the need. There are 100 reasons why young people engage in romantic relationships and perhaps 99 of them are wrong. Emotional urgency, pressure, loneliness, materialistic gains are amongst amongst forces that drive relationships today. Why should we wonder that so many relationships don't work today when they are built on such a weak foundation. The Edenic story in Genesis 2:18-24 presents for us God's design for marriage which if followed correctly answers for us one of the biggest questions of all generations
The First design God put in place for man is a Relationship with Him. We read in Genesis 2:8; After planting a garden Eastward, God placed Adam in it
In replicà this garden represents God's church, order, presence and authority. God's desire is that covenant relationships grow within Covenant Faith. Today many young men run to and fro outside of God's covenant in search for a marriage partner while praying daily to God; How God would have loved that these know and understand that the first step in Marriage is to be planted in the garden and established in the Faith. No wonder Adam slept peacefully as God made Eve out of his rib. Rest in God's grace brethrens!
Secondly, God placed Adam in a position of responsibility. In Gen 2:15; we read that God put man in the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it
Everyman today ought to assume responsibility of some sort according to as the Lord has called him. Even the most fair woman given to a man who doesn't work shall never be fulfilled in the marriage and neither shall the man. However this narrative goes beyond working to feed a partner. It's God's desire that man derives meaning from the work he does. As you work, remain grounded in God's Commandments. We read of God's instructions to Adam in Gen 2:16, 17; this signifies that man's happiness comes from abiding in God's instructions. Many today who are in a rush for intimate relationships are more ready to negotiate upon this grand principles that embody Truth, honesty, righteous living, peace, joy and all that makes marriage a bliss
The third step we notice is that God gives to man a Soulmate. In Genesis 2:18; God says "It's not good for man to be alone, I will make him an help meet for him" God did not say it's not good for man to be "lonely"
Adam already had a deep-rooted faith in God, life's work(purpose) and he was following God's devine instructions. Eve came from within the garden. She was prepared in the same sacred environment henceforth they shared the same ceator, law and mission. No wonder God warns us about being "Unequivocally yoked with unbelievers"  ( 2 Cor 6:14). How far would two oxen pulling in two different direction go? And yet that's how many relationships and marriages look like. When planted in the garden, one works faithfully like Adam did. God's desire is that we abide in " a garden enclosed, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed"( Solomon's Song 4:12)
Sealed from all the wrong prescriptions the world has offered us.
A marriage planted in the garden is focused on growth not grasping( Ps 92:13)
So my dear fellow young people, in some way or another we may have drifted into this kind of Emotional Urgency. It's God's will that we regain back our peace and quiet rest. It's high time we reassessed our views about marriage especially those of us who profess to follow Christ. The first relationship faced a pitfall when a Stranger "the Serpent" made his way into the garden enclosed. Is your garden firmly guarded? Destiny is not found by going outside God's garden. Marriage is colaboring in God's purpose as shown us in Genesis 1:28. "Being Fruitful" is a language from heaven. It's not entirely about multiplying the population of the world as we thought when we are still babes in the faith. It's about being productive according to God's calling in your life
