What's God's plan for your life? "Discover whether God is leading you in the path you are treading"
Can you discover God's plan for your life? It's almost a universal law that everyone prays for the best things to come their way
Many of us are praying for a breakthrough in our businesses, relationships, Academics and so forth
Did you know that God has a written plan for your life?
Think with me about the life of Jesus Christ. It's no doubt that God planned his earthly life before his birth. At age 33, the Savior had accomplished his mission for humanity. The greatest life ever lived yet here we are in our 30s praying for 100 more years to accomplish our goals
Many of us are wondering whether we are in the right relationship or doing the right job. God has an answer for you. Let's explore the aspect of a relationship for instance; you well know your love story may never have begun had you not visited that Central church on a certain month or perhaps gone shopping that Thursday evening. Just a twitch of something and the whole story would have turned out different. Now you are 10 months in the relationship and you are wondering how you can ever live without someone
Let's discover how you can tell your relationship, business, life's work is on the right track
1. Regular study of the Bible
One of my favorite verses is Ps119:105 "thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path" God's word renews our minds and givea us fresh insight(Rom 12:2, Ps 119:99). A regular time of prayerful study of scripture is the best way to get our priorities straight
2. Providential circumstances
The Lord permits us to go through certain circumstances because they lead us to a destiny he has prepared for us. Psalms 23 pictures God as the Good Shepherd. A Shepherd leads his sheep through lush valleys as well as through Rocky vines. He is capable of helping his charges benefit and learn from every experience. Watch closely the circumstances you go through
The Lord is always close by our side
3. Direct communication of God to the heart
The Lord guides us by speaking to our minds and conscience. The Spirit can enlighten "the eyes of your heart( Eph 1:18). The Bible gives us another counsel "Keep your heart with all diligence for our of it are the issues of life"( Prov 4:23). The more consistently we practice communicating with God, the more he is able to guide us. He molds our reasoning and judgement so that we can see clearly the next step we need to take
4. The 3 chapters must harmonize
It's possible of course to assume that you are living a God directed life when you are merely following your own inclinations and impulses( Prov 16:25). Our feelings must harmonize with the Bible teaching. It's not safe to conclude that God's leading your life unless all the above 3 things we discussed harmonize
Now the next time you are tempted to engage in a relationship outside the wedlock living behind your married wife because you think the Lord has planned it that way think again or perhaps the next time you are tempted with a bottle of Beer, decide quickly with a clear conscience
You see my friends, the Lord would not leave his people guessing about what his plan for their life is. Not all things require that you say an Alleluia and kneel down in a long prayer for you to decide. Certain things the Lord would have us discern and act rightly.
